It is literally impossible to forget that some celebs like Tom Cruise, Kirstie Alley and John Travolta are hardcore members of Scientology but there are few celebs you probably forgot were Scientologists.
And we can understand that.
It could be for a number of reasons.
Maybe some don’t talk about it as much because of privacy reasons, or because the talk of ‘religion’ upsets some fans.
Maybe you ‘forgot’ these celebs were Scientologists because you actually never knew.
Sometimes, it just doesn’t fit in with their ‘image’ so they away shy away from the topic.
Scientology, for those of you who are unfamiliar with the religion, was founded by L. Ron Hubbard in 1954.
Scientology is a religion that claims to offer “a precise path leading to a complete and certain understanding of one’s true spiritual nature and one’s relationship to self, family, groups, Mankind, all life forms, the material universe, the spiritual universe and the Supreme Being“.
It also claims that human beings are immortal…so let’s not start drinking the ‘Kool-aid’ just yet.
Whatever the reason, here’s a list of some notable celebs you probably forgot were Scientologists.
Juliette Lewis
You may recognize Juliette Lewis from her work on Martin Scorcese’s Cape Fear or from the more recent Television series, Wayward Pines.
She has also starred in Natural Born Killers, The Other Sister, Strange Days, From Dusk till Dawn, What’s Eating Gilbert Grape and The Evening Star.
Thanks to her portfolio, she is an Oscar-nominated, Emmy-nominated and Golden Globe Nominated actress.
Juliette was also a member of the rock band, Juliette and the Licks, until 2009 when she embarked on a solo career.
Juliette identifies as both a Scientologist and a Christian.
Next up on our list is:
Laura Prepon
Of course you know Laura Prepon…but did you know she was a Scientologist?
You probably know Laura from the immensely successful Television series – Orange is The New Black; or from her other immensely successful TV show – That ’70s Show (which, to be honest, has stood the test of time).
Laura rarely speaks of her religion but one of the only times she has mentioned it was in 2007 to Women’s Health magazine when she first acknowledged her involvement with the religion.
On her religion, Laura states:
“Honestly, I’ve become more me. The auditing has stripped away all of this charge, false ideas, decisions and mis-emotions that were affecting me.”

Wondering why he seems just so familiar?
